EchoStyle (“we”, “us”) builds a privacy-first personal fashion app. This policy explains what we collect, where it lives, and the choices you have. We design for Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and similar expectations in markets where we operate (including the USA).
Summary: Your sizes, avatar photo, and style memory default to on-device storage. Product search and checkout may use network services. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Who we are

2. Data we process
2.1 On your device (default)
- Profile: apparel and shoe sizes, style tags, budget band, optional presentation details
- Avatar: photo(s) you provide for virtual try-on
- Personal Fashion Manager / memory events: searches, try-ons, likes, dismissals, purchase signals
- App settings and local feature flags
On-device AI (including quantised Gemma 4 when available) is intended to run locally for personal ranking and summaries. Personal prompts and body imagery are not uploaded for model training by default.
2.2 When you use network features
- Product search queries and non-sensitive filters needed to retrieve catalogue results
- Affiliate / retailer parameters for attribution when you open a partner checkout
- Technical logs for reliability (device type, app version, error codes) — minimised
2.3 This website
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) if hosting provides them
- No marketing cookies are required for the static marketing site as shipped
3. Why we process data
- Provide search, try-on, recommendations, and checkout links
- Remember your preferences so style improves over time
- Secure the service and fix bugs
- Comply with law and store policies
4. Sharing
We share data only as needed: with retailers/payment partners when you choose to buy; with infrastructure providers under contract; or if required by law. We do not sell personal information or use your avatar images for advertising.
5. Affiliate disclosure
EchoStyle may earn a commission when you purchase through partner links. This does not change the price you pay. Attribution parameters may be attached to outbound retailer URLs; they are not a licence to harvest your body data.
6. Retention & deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it (e.g. Clear memory / uninstall) or restore a device without backup. You may request deletion of any account-linked server data we hold by emailing privacy@echostyle.app. We respond within a reasonable period required by applicable law.
7. Children
EchoStyle is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by local app store and privacy rules.
8. International transfers
If you use cloud features, processing may occur in regions where our providers operate. We apply contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the transfer.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, and to complain to a regulator (e.g. the OAIC in Australia). Contact us first so we can help.
10. Changes
We will update this page when practices change. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this site where appropriate.
